Where is PLAYTE Kitchen located? PLAYTE Kitchen is located at 2931 Solano Avenue, Napa CA 94558. We're easily accessible with onsite parking and free street parking adjacent to the building.

Is your facility accessible? Yes, our facility is fully ADA compliant, ensuring all guests can participate in the PLAYTE experience. We're proud to be an inclusive, LGBTQ+ and majority women-owned business welcoming everyone to our kitchen.

What's included in a cooking class? Each class includes expert chef instruction, hands-on cooking experience, all ingredients, use of professional equipment, and a full meal featuring everything you've prepared together. Classes are collaborative—guests work in small groups to prepare the menu, guided by our chefs who explain the techniques behind every dish.

What should I wear to class? We recommend comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes (required for hands-on cooking classes). You'll be standing for most of the class, so supportive footwear helps you enjoy the experience. If you have long hair, please bring something to pull it back. We provide aprons, but avoid wearing anything you don't want to risk getting a cooking splash on.

Do you accommodate dietary restrictions? We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions with advance notice. Please let us know at booking so we can prepare appropriate substitutions when possible.

What's your age policy for classes? Guests aged 15 years or younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the class, unless otherwise noted in specific class listings. The accompanying adult must purchase a ticket and actively participate in all activities alongside the minor.

For the safety of all participants and to preserve the overall class experience, we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12 in our standard public classes. However, we do offer select family-friendly classes throughout the year that are specifically designed for younger guests to cook alongside a parent or guardian.

Do you host private events? Absolutely! Our 2,600-square-foot space is designed for groups of all sizes, from intimate team dinners to large corporate celebrations. We offer hands-on cooking classes, chef demonstrations, meeting + cooking combinations, and reception-style events. With flexible spaces that accommodate 8 to 90 people, we have experiences designed for all types of groups and budgets.

How do I book a private event or meeting space rental? Private events and space rentals are based on availability and meeting daily sales minimums. Contact our sales team to discuss your vision, group size, and preferred dates. We'll work with you to create a custom experience and provide pricing based on your specific needs.

Can you accommodate corporate meetings? Yes! We offer two meeting spaces and our large kitchen classroom to accommodate a range of meeting objectives. We have a boardroom, meeting room, and open kitchen space.  Both our cooking area and large meeting room feature large monitors. High-speed internet is available throughout the building. Meetings can be combined with cooking experiences for unique team-building events.

What's your cancellation policy?

• 14 days' notice is required for a full refund, less a $10 transaction fee (except for gift certificate purchases)

• No refunds for cancellations less than 7 days prior to class, but you may transfer to another class (limited to two transfers) at no additional charge

• Rebooking within 72 hours of a class is subject to a $20 transfer fee per registration

What is PLAYTE's commitment to sustainability? As a small, Napa Valley business, sustainability is a core principle at PLAYTE Kitchen. We compost all organic waste, design low-waste recipes that minimize food scraps, and cook exclusively on "Charlie" induction cooktops by Copper–clean energy cooking that's better for both your techniques and the environment. We source from local Napa Valley producers whenever possible, reducing transportation impact while supporting our community.

How do I find out about community events? Community events are announced through our newsletter, social media, and website calendar. These special events celebrate seasonal ingredients, local partnerships, and bring neighbors together around shared meals and learning experiences.

Do you offer content creation services? Yes! Our cooking space transforms into a professional content studio for food and beverage brands. We offer recipe development, food styling, photography, and videography services. Content creation requires advance booking and exclusive use of our space during filming.

How do I stay updated on classes and events? Follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter to be the first to know about new classes, community events, and special offerings. You can also check our website calendar for the most current schedule.

I'm new to cooking—will I be able to keep up? Absolutely! Our classes welcome all skill levels. Our chefs excel at making techniques accessible and explaining the why behind every step, so you'll leave feeling confident about recreating dishes in your own kitchen.
