Warm Spiced Gingerbread Milk
Ingredients
1 quart oat milk (extra creamy version, if possible)
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 tbsp molasses
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground clove
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Procedure
Combine oatmilk, brown sugar, molasses, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground black pepper, ground clove, and ground nutmeg in a medium sized saucepan. Whisk to combine, and cook over medium low heat stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes or until the spices have fully infused the oat milk.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheese cloth to remove spices and any cooked bits of oat milk that might’ve formed while heating.
Serve warm or cold over ice.
